there is a problem with epoxy- fit and finish. For the 2 part epoxy to 'correctly' adhere (stick) to the mystery base metal, the surface of the lower receiver MUST be free of paint, dirt, and any other contaminants; furthermore, if you read the fine print, it usually recommends the surface to be scuffed with sandpaper- to create more surface area for better a bond. now think about it, that shiny black lower receiver with its lovely finish sanded down to raw metal with a grey booger of play dooh that needs to be shaped into something that looks like it belongs there. if you choose to screw a stop to the lower receiver, the threads shouldn't protrude too deep or you risk clearance issues when removing gear box. If you don't want to 'mod' your receiver, you could drill a hole and run a nut and box in the gear box so that the selector plate can not slide into full auto position. since the gun is already apart, check if this option. it might interfere with trigger switch.
BTW Doesn't EVERYBODY have a DMR project? Lol

1. A screw or bolt would work. Also, I'm pretty sure I have decent enough skills to make it look like it was part of the build.

2. Why would I want a DMR? Have to run away every time someone gets close. Or let them pass by while being uber quiet. Or go to a backup. All for what? 20-50 more feet of open space in ambush country?

@ Nos- well, dat sucks...looks like mosfet or selector plate mod or stop tabs/epoxy. the more i think about it. chuy's idea would work. it requires repainting the gun. it would also have a 'real steel' look.
@ chuy- when I finish my DMR, I'll will carry around another gun of funness to shoot people. i.e. 9Bat.'s sidearm is a M14.
Oops, did I say i am building a DMR.

there's already a brownboy with a hyper accurate & super fps M4/SR25 variant that shoots primarily semi. I'm just jumping on the bandwagon.
