Basic night setup?
If I were to run a fast ops type helmet, what would be the basic items I would need to participate in a night time op? Is it pretty much an arm and leg even to get started?

You can still run at night, you'll just have a disadvantage to the guys running with night vision, at the same a flashlight with high lumans or Che Chuy road flares will make guys come out of the nags, either way 800 bucks for a good night set up starting out.

Just get a good light, pair of balls, and work as a team at night. Nightvision is worthless 90% of the time and I haven't seen many that can operate with it effectivly. If your in a urban type enviroment NVG's can be great if you can take out the street lights, have a good IR sighting system and illuminator. If you have the money, great but don't think its a must to have a good time.
Plus in the instances where NVG's are effective, you end up packing them away because you can only shoot fish in a barrel for so long. We use to have weekly night games and I stopped using mine due to the lack of fun.
