Annual Halloween Zombie Event @ Ambush Alley Empty Annual Halloween Zombie Event @ Ambush Alley

Hey fellas. I just wanted to invite the airsofters from the Pensacola, Mobile, Ft. Walton area to Ambush Alley's annual Halloween Zombie Event on Saturday, Oct. 20th. We attempt to go all out with this one, and usually pull it off well. We rig the field with effects lighting, multiple burn barrels (because you can't have a zombie outbreak without fire), and ominous undead sound effects. It is preferred that players wear full face protection and carry low power airsoft guns. The full face protection, of course, is in case you become infected it will protect your grill from potential close range hits. The low power airsoft guns, I'm sure you can figure out, is to attempt to prevent injury to the "undead"... We have three different Zombie scenarios, and we usually squeeze in three Zombie games before we shut it down. I know that is a low number of games, but blitz zombie games kind of suck. To accommodate for only three zombie games we have an early show up time so everyone can run a few regular games before night descends. We have a special rule briefing followed by the mission briefing about 30-45 minutes before it gets dark. We encourage you to bring volunteers. Male or female who will be civilians, but don't mind falling into the role of undead if a zombie finds them before the extraction team does. We currently have 4 dedicated civilians and usually can only utilize 5, so if you know someone who will volunteer to be a dedicated zombie that would be great. Hope to see you on the field.

When:

Saturday, Oct. 20th

Where:

Ambush Alley Airsoft, 1243 Scott Rd. Malvern, AL.

Times:

Show up between 3pm and 4pm, small games will be from 330pm-5pm, Zombie Rules briefing 515pm-530pm, Mission brieifing 530pm-545pm, Game prep (weapons check, ammo limits check, proper chem lights check) 545pm-6pm, Game on 615pm.

Requirements:

Chem light-green/blue for uninfected players, white for civilians. We will have some chem lights on site for $1. We suggest that you make a trip to walmart and pick up a "LifeGear" suvival light in the camping department. They cost about $4, and come in any color. When lit, they have a tube like a chem light that glows the color denoted on the cap and last up to 200 hours on the batteries.

Face protection- This can be a full face mask or safety glasses w/ balaclava, bandanna, or half masks. This is not required unless you are under 18, only a strong suggestion.

Suggestions:

Foam/rubber melee weapon, ie. nerf axe, foam machette, foam bat, etc. Being this close to Halloween it is pretty easy to find descent foam weapons. Two reasons for these-1) you will likely run out of ammo 2) you can use these to kill zombies who are close instead of using your airsoft gun.

Fees:

Standard Ambush Alley field fee, $5 per player. Volunteers of course pay nothing.

There hasn't been much response on this forum about anyone planning to attend the Zombie event, but just in case some of you were planning to attend, we have to shift the show up time. Show up time is 4pm instead of 3pm. RA has a team mate who suffered a lose in the family and we won't be at the field to open the gates until a little later.

Current number of players is 25 with about 7 maybes. 4 civilian volunteers and we actually have a few who wanted to volunteer to be zombies for the entire ngiht.
