Teams are divided into four factions, the two major teams and the outside influences. Each team will have one commander and both one medic and one lieutenant per 10 players.

States United: Militia and Insurgent forces defending separatist territories.
Uniform: BDU, OD, Khaki (etc) and civilian clothing, in other words, green uniforms.

United States: 1st MED, 82nd ABN and Delta forces to quell and secure civil disorder.
Uniform: ABU and ACU, tricolor, chocolate chip, or other desert uniforms.

Mercenaries: Unknown faction, motives unknown.
Uniform: Contractor – black top, tan pants, may wear others including civilian.

Other uniforms can be accommodated on an as-needed basis

-----GAME SCHEDULE---------------

2300: Friday Game ends

-----Saturday-----
0800: Safety brief, teams are determined
0830: Teams take the field
0900: Game 1 - Red Dawn
1300: Ceasefire declared
1430: Game 2 - Grand Slam
1830: Ceasefire declared
2000: Night Ops safety briefing
2030: Game 3 - Evening Light
2300: Saturday Game Ends

-----Sunday-----

1200: Ceasefire declared.
1230: Awards, results, prizes(?)
1300: Bragging and crying ensues

-----Safety Rules---------------
The listed rules here coincide (but do not supercede) the field rules found here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Age Restriction: 16 and up, 14-15 with parent on site.

Goggles: Full seal is required, full face protection is recommended.

Dead Rag & Chem Light: Daytime games require a dead rag and night games require a chem light or flashlight (preferably in red).

FPS Limits: Based on .2g bbs:
..FPS...Minimum Range
...<350 15 feet
351-400 30 feet
401-450 45 feet
451-500 100 feet
501>....Not allowed

Custom Weapons: Any custom weapons must be cleared through the field admins prior to use on the field.

-----SPECIAL RULES---------------
Medic Rules: The medic may carry up to twenty ropes at a time, and may treat any player, of either team, as many times as he has ropes. The rope must be tied to any limb before the player may reenter the game.
The medic may not self heal; may only respawn at a base or by a medic.
Any player that returns to their base may remove any ropes and leave them behind for the medic to pick up.
If player is not treated after three minutes, the player can walk back to base and repawn.
During any night games, no one may respawn without at least one other teammate (so no one gets lost).

Prisoners: A player may opt to call 'Surrender' (as per 'Bang' rules) to capture an opposing team member. Any medic that treats an opposing team member may take them prisoner.

Searching Prisoners: No player may touch another while searching for in-game documents; one can only point and ask the player to show what's in pocket or pouch. Only in-game items need to be revealed.

Prisoner Release: Prisoners may escape if there is no one guarding them (an enemy player within 10 feet of a prisoner). If the guard is in a fire-fight, the prisoners may evade and/or escape.

i think we are gonna have an issue with the uniform again. i thought you guys were gonna have tan vs green after the last op? its hard to determine the difference betweem woodland marpat and woodland bdu most of the time.

US
desert marpat, tri color dcu and acu

SU
woodland, od and civilian clothing (non tan)

Operation: Return Fire Empty Re: Operation: Return Fire

Post by Guest 13th May 2011, 6:26 am

I believe he wants a clarification on the DMR rules that are the official ones of the field. Formally, it goes with the field rules as per the waiver. The rules here are expedited or truncated. For example, I did not mention pyro, blind firing or that you must use semi only in designated CQB area rules, but those rules still apply to the field. It's still early enough that we can change that by adding a line to the docs.
AEGs (Automatic Electric Guns):
The Maximum velocity limit for AEGs outdoors is 400fps.
The minimum engagement distance will be 30 feet.*
When closer than 30 feet players should use the Bang, Surrender, or Parlay rule depending on the situation, or transition to an approved sidearm.

Support Weapons:
The Maximum velocity limit for support weapons is 450fps.
The minimum engagement distance will be 50 feet.
Players should carry a secondary weapon and/or sidearm for engagements closer than 50 feet. Allowable support weapons will be ACCURATE replicas of weapons specifically designed to provide suppressive fire in a support role. Regular AEGS with a box or drum mag will not be considered a support weapon. Support weapons will not be used in close proximity period.

Designated Marksman Rifles (DMR):
The Maximum velocity for DMRs is 500 fps.
The minimum engagement distance will be 100 feet.
DMRs cannot simply be a standard AEG rifle that fires at 500fps. They must be ACCURATE replicas of real steel marksman rifles. Replicas considered DMRs must be semi-auto capable only and must be approved by the Admin before use. DMR weapons will not be used in close proximity period.
*this may need to be changed to allow sub 350 FPS a minimum of 15 feet.

Haha, I believe that copying comment was aimed towards me. However, I also gave a link back to the original page, meaning here, and told them that I would be posting it. But yeah, I'll update my post on the SEA forum with the new info.

Not aimed at you Vengeance Laughing ..just in general

You would be surprised where your events end up...a lot of people from different teams, different states surf pages they know host good events from time to time looking for something new during the summer. They might not post anything but they will copy and paste (much like you did) on their own forum alerting their teamates/freinds of the event so they can attend and then someone spys their forum and posts it on theirs and so on and so on.

Show up, pitch a tent, stay the night. There is a fire pit for cooking.

There are no facilities, per say, but if there are enough that preregister (100+) then we'd get some* (budget won't allow for it, normally).

Some sleep in their cars, have driven 15 minutes or so to a motel, slept in a tent, hammock or just a sleeping bag (but the mosquitoes'll get you if their in season) and some head home for the night. The almanac(^1) reports for that time of the year that the record low was in the 50's and the average during the day is in the 80's with a humidity at around a thousand.

(*) details still need to be determined.

There is a gas station that sells chicken (it's not bad) for about a buck a piece, and has the usual gas station supplies, that is just under three miles away. You're on your own for the most part, but some of us bring enough to share (usually hotdogs, soda, chips and things of a snacky nature).

The game is $35, and most of it goes to prize support (we historically have been pretty liberal with it). A normal weekend is only $10 and free your first time (but not an OP).

I'd say yes, contingent on Allouts final say, day of (weather and terrain conditions being the determining factor).
